Review: Supper

Loved It

TLDR: Supper is a Good Time™. For a group, for a casual date, for takeout even (woah!), this cash only restaurant has got the goods. Just be sure to order a spaghetti al limone and let the butter and carb super combo melt away your stress.

I always come back to Supper. This rustic Italian joint has a fun energy that can be felt walking down the block in the summer, when they open their outdoor seating. Nothing is fussy at supper. The tables wobble and the forks were probably once used in a school cafeteria. The food uses simple ingredients and it would not be weird to ask for table wine here. It’s relaxed, and you’ll likely just sit and stay awhile (also, the waitstaff was slow even before the pandemic, so buckle up).

My only issue at Supper is that despite an extensive menu, I’ve hardly tried any of it in the 6-10 times I’ve visited. Why? Because I cannot resist that spaghetti al limone. I’m a moth to its lemony flame. Deceptively simple, this is the most satisfying dish – it physically feels good to eat it. I think the only times I haven’t ordered this buttery lemony cheesy masterpiece is when the person I’ve gone with has ordered it, thus enabling me to at least sneak in a few bites. It is that good.

However, if for some reason a plate of carbs, dairy, and lemon doesn’t appeal to you, I’m pretty sure you’ll still like Supper. They always have a few exciting specials up their sleeve, have enough options to cater to vegetarians (not sure about vegans though 🤔), and can accommodate larger groups if you call ahead. The catch? Cash only (but don’t worry, there’s an ATM in the back).
